The ESU-International Public Speaking Competition

The English-Speaking Union has active representation in over 50 countries. Most of these countries run programmes to encourage the effective use of English as a means of international communication, as well as a variety of current affairs and cultural activities aimed at improving international understanding. The International Public Speaking Competition is run annually by the English-Speaking Union and is one of the ESU’s most successful and far-reaching international programmes.

The PIDC 2008 will once again serve as the venue for the Search for the Philippine Representative to the ESU International Public Speaking Competition 2008 (ESU IPSC). The selection process for the Official Philippine Representative is tentatively set during the finals series of PIDC 2008 (April 7 and 8). Students aged 16 to 20 years old are invited to participate and have the chance to represent the country in the said international public speaking event to be held on May 2 to 6, 2008 in London, England.
